Running but not cooling
Almost always a refrigerant leak, a failed compressor, or a condenser coil packed with Florida pollen and grass clippings. A recharge without leak detection is money thrown away — it will be low again within the season.
Blower runs, outdoor unit does not
Typically a failed run capacitor or contactor. This is the single most common Orlando failure and one of the cheapest repairs — do not accept a replacement quote before this is ruled out.
Short cycling
Turning on and off every few minutes points to an oversized system, a dirty filter starving airflow, a failing thermostat, or a refrigerant charge problem.
Water around the air handler
